About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee operations of the physician’s office, including financial and clerical functions
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and Operations Director
  • Monitor compliance with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee business office functions and facilitate patient and provider flow and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with physicians/providers on schedules, clinic workflow, and patient flow
  • Respond to and assess patient complaints and escalate when necessary
  • Lead direct reports in executing work plans and short- and long-term goals
  • Implement site-level infrastructure, process, and system changes
  • Draft initial capital, operating, and staffing budget requests
  • Monitor and improve site performance using patient satisfaction, budgeted-versus-worked-hours, RVU, and EHR reports
  • Hire, train, assign work, manage, and evaluate staff performance
  • Develop professional development plans and ensure departmental productivity supports operational goals
  • Develop staffing plans balancing customer expectations and financial constraints
  • Foster employee engagement and feedback to facilitate positive change

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data
  • Solid quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a leadership role with clinical, business and administrative staff
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
