About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow SouthState Investment Services policies and procedures
- Support financial consultants’ assigned bank territory in growing, developing, and servicing investment clients
- Manage a book of assets and grow assets under management
- Provide responsive and proactive service to existing and prospective clients
- Use broker/dealer systems, technology, products, and services
- Prospect within the financial institution through relationships with customer contact associates
- Engage customers who may not frequently use the branch system
- Prospect outside the financial institution to bring in new customer relationships
- Establish customer relationships, identify needs, and offer appropriate investment solutions
- Nurture and expand relationships, meet additional needs, and generate referrals
- Manage, coordinate, and maintain appointment and referral opportunities
- Develop referrals through assigned banking partners
- Work directly with clients and service their relationships
- Develop leads, referrals, and customer introductions from branch personnel
- Complete assigned training within designated time frames
- Attend meetings as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, College Degree or equivalent preferred
- Five to seven years previous investment services experience preferred
- FINRA licenses 6, 63, 65, 7 required
- Satisfactory FINRA record and successful background check required
- Highly organized and self-starter
- Excellent PC skills, including Word and Excel
- Ability to identify, research and solve problems quickly and accurately
- Ability to interact professionally with co-workers, broker/dealer, referral sources and customers
- Ability to listen effectively, learn quickly and prioritize work
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to shift quickly to new tasks when priorities change
- Completion of required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation, PC Navigator, LPL ClientWorks, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports
- Reliable private internet connection for telecommuting; cable or fiber preferred
