About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build deep, trusted relationships with government agencies and transit operators
- Drive customer adoption, unlock new value, and create conditions for expanded investment in Spare's platform
- Develop and maintain command of Spare's full product suite and product roadmap
- Translate platform capabilities into operational outcomes tied to customer metrics, compliance requirements, and desired outcomes
- Help customers move beyond minimum viable usage through broader and deeper platform adoption
- Research customer organizations, operating environments, stakeholders, and external pressures
- Document stakeholder maps, account plans, and platform usage across operational workflows
- Surface structured product feedback to internal teams
- Guide customers through success plans aligned to shared objectives and milestones
- Deliver Spare Partner Reviews connecting usage data to measurable business and service outcomes
- Identify expansion signals and collaborate with Account Managers to convert them into pipeline
- Build internal customer champions advocating for continued and expanded platform usage
- Identify at-risk accounts using platform usage data, stakeholder sentiment, and account context
- Diagnose adoption and value gaps and implement remediation strategies
- Escalate churn or contraction risk to leadership with root-cause documentation and recommended responses
- Reinforce Spare's differentiation and platform value during renewals and competitive situations
- Maintain accurate data across CRM and customer-facing tools
- Partner with Account Managers on account health, expansion strategy, and renewal outcomes
- Follow cross-functional processes and handoff standards across Implementation, Support, and Product
- Travel within Canada and the USA for onsite visits, up to 30%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Success in SaaS
- Experience managing multiple B2B and/or B2G customers, ideally in complex or multi-product environments
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with customers at multiple organizational levels
- Experience working at a fast-paced startup or scale-up
- Ability to synthesize usage data, stakeholder dynamics, and external pressures into clear strategy and action
- Excellent communication skills across audiences with varying technical fluency
- Resourceful and comfortable reprioritizing in dynamic, fast-moving environments
- Availability and eligibility to travel within Canada and the USA
- Must be comfortable traveling on short notice
- Ideally live within 1.5 hours of an international airport
- Experience or interest in transit or mobility is a bonus
- Experience working B2G with government or public sector customers is a bonus
- Background in change management or project management is a bonus
- Familiarity with procurement cycles, grant funding structures, or public sector operations is a bonus
