About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and relational database technologies
  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop and integrate application components, RESTful services, APIs, data persistence, and external interfaces
  • Translate system and business requirements into technical solutions
  • Enhance and maintain the existing system and design, develop, and document new features
  • Support Oracle-to-PostgreSQL cloud migration activities, including application updates, database integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment processes using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Participate in software testing and validation during increased testing or release demands
  • Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests using tools such as Playwright, Xray, and QMetry
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, build, deployment, and environment issues
  • Support AWS-based containerized application infrastructure and collaborate with system administrators and technical team members
  • Support application analytics and reporting capabilities, including IBM Cognos Analytics integration
  • Ensure development activities follow architecture, programming, UI, configuration-management, federal-security, and SDLC standards
  • Maintain code, scripts, and configuration files in source control
  • Use Atlassian tools within the Scrum process
  • Work with administrators to configure automated builds, tests, and deployments across environments using Jenkins and GitHub Actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
  • United States citizenship required for security-clearance eligibility
  • Experience with full SDLC web-based enterprise application development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Development experience using the Java Spring Framework
  • Experience with Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and/or CSS
  • Experience with RESTful web services and/or microservices
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL, including application/database integration
  • Experience in AWS cloud environments and AWS-based application deployments
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment processes
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
  • Experience with Git-based source control, including branching, merging, pull requests, and repository management
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies
  • Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience supporting secure software deployment and configuration-management practices
  • Experience developing and executing automated unit, integration, and/or functional tests
  • Experience utilizing JIRA to manage assigned work and request approvals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Hibernate, Spring, Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration, IBM Cognos Analytics, Playwright, Xray, and/or QMetry preferred
