About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and enhance the organization's OpenShift container platform through installation, maintenance, and operationalization of OpenShift Operators
- Develop and implement infrastructure automation solutions to improve platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, and supporting infrastructure environments
- Support logging, monitoring, observability, service mesh, and other platform services for containerized environments
- Collaborate with application development teams on containerized application deployment and operations
- Assist with DevSecOps initiatives, CI/CD pipeline enhancements, and infrastructure modernization
- Develop automation tools and scripts using Java, Python, Shell, and related technologies
- Support Kubernetes and OpenShift platform administration, configuration, and operations
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Work within Agile teams to deliver infrastructure and platform enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud, containerization, or platform engineering solutions
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience developing automation scripts using Bash/Shell, Python, or Java
- Experience supporting CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
- Experience troubleshooting production environments and infrastructure issues
- Knowledge of Linux administration and container technologies such as Docker
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within Agile teams
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
- Experience supporting CMS, Federal Government, or healthcare systems preferred
- Red Hat OpenShift administration experience in production environments preferred
- Red Hat OpenShift certification (EX280) or equivalent container platform certifications preferred
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and service mesh technologies preferred
- Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka preferred
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices preferred
- Experience implementing infrastructure automation and DevSecOps solutions preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
