About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and maintain Oracle database software
- Create secure storage database structures
- Alter database structures to meet evolving business requirements
- Manage database user access and security
- Implement backup and recovery plans
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Identify and resolve database issues
- Implement disaster recovery plans
- Work with development teams to improve database performance
- Create and manage multiple databases
- Assist with capacity planning
- Monitor, optimize, and allocate physical data storage
- Plan for future database expansion requirements
- Manage project Oracle database systems to ensure availability, reliability, and security
- Support development teams' data management needs and database integrity
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years' experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation
- Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to visualize algorithmic structures
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Preferred: Experience in Postgres
- Preferred: Healthcare IT experience
- Preferred: Public Healthcare/CMS experience
- Preferred: Related Industry/Agile/SAFe certification(s)
