About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with scrum team members under the supervision of the DevOps Manager to develop and implement DevOps culture across the project team
  • Install, configure, and maintain tools for source control management, continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, database management, repository management, provisioning, release management, logging, building, testing, containerization, and security
  • Lead a team of DevOps engineers and serve as a point of escalation
  • Deploy Red Hat operating system patches using AWS automation tools such as AWS Systems Manager Automation documents
  • Implement CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines
  • Support applications on AWS cloud
  • Work with source control, continuous integration, monitoring, repository management, provisioning, logging, collaboration, and security tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6 to 8 years of experience with DevOps tools
  • Experience building and deploying infrastructure in AWS Cloud
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and running workloads on Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Extensive experience building CI/CD deployment pipelines
  • Working experience with Terraform infrastructure as code
  • Linux system administration experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
  • Good communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with leading a team of DevOps engineers and serving as a point of escalation
  • Experience deploying Red Hat operating system patches using AWS automation tools such as AWS Systems Manager Automation documents
  • Experience implementing CI/CD tools
  • Experience with source control tools such as GitHub, Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Subversion, and Mercurial
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis CI, and Cruise Control
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Nagios, and Dynatrace
  • Experience with repository management tools such as Nexus, npm, Docker Hub, and Artifactory
  • Experience with provisioning tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Salt, and Terraform
  • Experience with logging tools such as Splunk and Logstash
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Slack
  • Experience with security tools such as Fortify and Tripwire
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Elastic Load Balancers, S3, Elastic File Share, EC2, and VPC
  • Strong judgment, leadership, communication, diplomacy, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Ability to identify and solve technical problems independently, quickly, and efficiently
  • Ability to combine functional, conceptual, and technical knowledge with customer requirements
  • Ability to interact positively and communicate appropriately with team members, customers, and management
