About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Rotate through Accounting, FP&A/Program Control, Pricing & Compliance, and Financial Systems on a 4–8 month cadence
- Partner with teams on budget development, financial forecasting, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reporting
- Contribute to month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting accuracy reviews
- Maintain funding records and support client status reports and ad-hoc financial analyses
- Assist in preparing indirect rate workpapers and compliance documentation
- Use Microsoft Copilot to identify automation opportunities and improve finance workflows
- Use Microsoft Excel and the company’s ERP for day-to-day financial operations
- Deliver quality work across multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort across the Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools
- Interest in applying AI tools to automate and improve financial processes
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience will be considered
- 0-5 years of finance experience; internships and academic project work are welcome
- Sharp attention to detail
- Communication skills to work effectively across teams
- Passion for finance and technology
- Curiosity about modern financial tools
- Flexibility and confidence to adapt between teams, systems, and priorities
- Familiarity with additional AI tools or platforms beyond Microsoft Copilot is preferred
- Experience with Unanet, Deltek, or a comparable financial ERP system is preferred
- Background in a customer-facing or deadline-oriented professional environment is preferred
