About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, debug, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and applications
Refactor Python scripts to align with enterprise automation standards and business requirements
Design and build scalable, flexible, and maintainable Python automation frameworks
Conduct code reviews for coding standards, best practices, and quality
Use GitHub and JIRA to manage work, track issues, and collaborate
Improve test coverage, release velocity, and production stability through automation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 to 6 years of overall professional experience
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Python development experience
Strong expertise with GitHub and Jenkins
Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years
Experience supporting federal government projects, preferably CMS programs
Exposure to or understanding of mainframe systems
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
