About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Read electric and natural gas meters in the Denver Metro area
- Physically or remotely gather onsite electric and natural gas meter billing information
- Drive extensively throughout the Denver metro area
- Complete meter reading routes while meeting strict deadlines
- Work outdoors in rain, sleet, snow, extreme heat, and other weather conditions
- Interact with customers courteously and provide excellent customer service
- Perform all work safely and follow company/client procedures
- Use computers and technology as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Entry-level position; no experience necessary
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid, unexpired driver's license
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalency required
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to drive and walk in all types of weather and across all types of terrain
- Ability to walk 5+ miles per day
- Ability to deal with wildlife and animals
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day
- Ability to carry up to 20 lbs of equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers/technology
- Must work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with no overtime or weekends
