About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Use company-provided locating equipment to locate and mark underground utilities, including gas, electric, and communications
  • Accurately document located utilities and job details using required systems and tools
  • Partner with construction crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to confirm scope, markings, and potential hazards
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and respond to field challenges quickly, prioritizing safe and accurate outcomes
  • Travel between assigned job sites throughout the day and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Work a variable schedule, typically 8–10 hours per day

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Utility locate experience required
  • At least 1 year of experience in utility locating and/or damage prevention
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid, unexpired Driver’s License
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to different job sites
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically able to walk, stand, bend, and lift as needed in outdoor field environments
  • Familiarity with utility locating equipment and related technology
  • Experience documenting work in mobile apps/systems used for locating
