About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead engineering strategy and execution for the Speak for Business roadmap
  • Deliver features and infrastructure serving business clients
  • Oversee development of B2B offerings across the mobile app, web-based L&D portal, and custom enterprise solutions
  • Guide and mentor a team of engineers
  • Support engineers’ technical and career development
  • Partner with Product and Design on global B2B customer needs, technical trade-offs, and priorities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on AI-powered features such as assessment tools
  • Direct custom integrations with third-party systems, including HRIS/HR platforms
  • Ensure seamless customer onboarding and data management
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and data teams to keep B2B platforms robust, scalable, and secure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years in an engineering leadership role
  • Hands-on full-stack development experience
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Node.js, Postgres, and BigQuery
  • Experience building and scaling products for B2B or enterprise customers, preferably globally
  • Experience managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams
  • Strong product intuition
  • Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional partners
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with AI/ML-powered product features is a bonus
  • Experience developing custom enterprise integrations is a bonus
  • Ability to work from the San Francisco HQ at least 3 days a week
