About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Spellbook’s in-house legal expert and product strategist
  • Join sales calls, demos, and RFPs as a legal expert
  • Support account executives through training, tailored guidance, and sales strategy
  • Develop playbooks and training materials for in-house legal teams
  • Create product training packs, documentation, and thought-leadership content
  • Represent Spellbook in webinars, CLE sessions, and industry events
  • Translate transactional workflows into actionable product features and enhancements
  • Participate in feature discovery, development, and testing
  • Translate customer insights into clear product requirements
  • Support additional responsibilities and projects as required
  • Work closely with Sales and Product teams to improve Spellbook for legal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified lawyer
  • 3–5 years of transactional experience
  • Ideally a mix of law firm and in-house exposure
  • Deep familiarity with contract negotiation, drafting, and review workflows
  • Understanding of Large Language Models within the modern AI landscape
  • Strong product instincts and ability to build, iterate, and drive initiatives independently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, sales teams, and external customers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with legal and business audiences
  • Experience working with or at a legal tech or SaaS company is nice to have
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes or customer enablement is nice to have
  • Technical curiosity or experience working with product/engineering teams is nice to have
  • Must be legally able to work and reside in Canada at the time of application; Spellbook does not provide relocation or visa sponsorship support
