About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and create real-time vegetation game assets through the full 3D pipeline, including modeling, sculpting, texture creation, retopology, and UV, in Unreal Engine 5
  • Develop sets of plants for different biomes
  • Analyze, plan, and collect references for assets; work with concepts and references according to guidelines
  • Ensure proper integration of each asset while considering technical and gameplay constraints
  • Obtain Lead Artist guidance and approval as required
  • Refine artistic abilities and learn new software packages and in-house tools
  • Coordinate with Senior and/or Lead Artists while mentoring Junior 3D Artists and sharing project best practices
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in vegetation modelling in game industry
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling tools used in vegetation production: 3D Max, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Speed Tree, or Houdini
  • Strong understanding of texture creation tools: Photoshop, Substance Designer, or Substance Painter
  • Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for game development
  • Teamwork skills
  • A creative, collaborative, and innovative mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a game engine such as Unreal Engine 5 or Unity is a plus
  • High-poly sculpting in ZBrush is a plus
