Manage complex large loss and excess liability cases through all stages of litigation
Develop case strategies and assess liability, damages, coverage, and excess exposure
Oversee complex discovery
Address expert-related issues
Conduct or defend depositions
Draft and argue dispositive and complex motions
Support mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, excess insurers, self-insured entities, and corporate clients
Identify business development opportunities
Contribute to the growth of the large loss and excess liability practice

Requirements

What you’ll need

J.D. from an accredited law school
Active Pennsylvania law license
Senior-level litigation experience with a strong background in insurance defense
Experience handling large loss, excess liability, or other high-exposure litigation matters
Proven ability to independently manage complex cases and litigation strategy
Admission to the New Jersey bar (preferred)
Trial experience, including first-chair or substantial second-chair responsibility (preferred)
Experience with catastrophic injuries or cases involving significant damages (preferred)
Experience representing excess insurance carriers (preferred)
Established relationships with insurance carriers or corporate clients (preferred)
Portable book of business (advantage, not a requirement)
