About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Visit key big-box retail locations in the Chicago, IL or Salt Lake City, UT market
  • Ensure products are stocked, priced correctly, and visually prominent
  • Execute retail merchandising standards
  • Manage inventory on the floor
  • Build, place, and maintain in-store product displays
  • Maintain on-shelf product availability by stocking shelves, packing out incoming inventory, and setting planned promotional features
  • Sell in product and promotional displays to stores through the Direct to Store Sales Program
  • Collect and submit inventory data, pricing audits, and display photos using a retail merchandising mobile application
  • Establish and nurture professional working relationships with store managers and department leads
  • Monitor store-level stock levels, flag inventory discrepancies, and track product performance trends
  • Cover a territory of at least 24 Walmart and Target locations
  • Work 24 hours per week during weekday business hours

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional experience in field sales or retail merchandising, specifically working within big-box retail environments such as Walmart and Target
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations, planograms, and inventory management practices
  • Experience managing a multi-store service schedule independently with high efficiency and minimal oversight
  • Ability to perform physical retail labor, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs of product and displays
  • Reliable personal vehicle for daily store-to-store travel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of active vehicle insurance
  • Access to high-speed internet
  • Comfort utilizing mobile applications for daily reporting
