About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate territory coverage, training, and operational support for a team of field merchandisers within the assigned region
  • Provide on-the-ground leadership, continuous coaching, and hands-on training to field team members
  • Conduct regular in-field store visits, document performance recaps, and implement team action plans with the Regional Supervisor
  • Lead bi-weekly team conference calls
  • Maintain on-shelf product availability, execute pack-outs, and build high-visibility displays at retail stores
  • Negotiate and secure incremental product placement and promotional displays with store-level management
  • Collect and submit real-time retail data, compliance photos, and market intelligence through the proprietary merchandising application
  • Act as the regional product expert, educating team members on competitive toy trends, retailer standards, and in-store operational best practices
  • Perform hands-on merchandising at retail stores to maximize product availability, on-shelf presence, and display execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional experience in retail merchandising or sales, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or third-party merchandising sector
  • Prior experience leading, training, or supervising remote field teams or retail staff
  • Familiarity with the operational practices and merchandising standards of big-box retailers, specifically Walmart and Target
  • Proficiency using digital retail reporting applications and mobile field-management tools
  • Ability to conduct frequent overnight regional travel via air and car
  • Ability to perform physical retail tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, active auto insurance, and a clean driving record
