About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end design of learning experiences from needs analysis and curriculum architecture through development, launch, and evaluation
- Partner with subject-matter experts and stakeholders to identify performance needs and develop learning objectives and practical solutions
- Design learning journeys across live, digital, blended, and self-directed formats using evidence-based learning principles
- Create eLearning, facilitator guides, participant resources, job aids, presentations, and micro-learning experiences
- Use visual design and storytelling to make complex ideas clear, memorable, and engaging
- Build interactive digital learning experiences using AI-assisted workflows and authoring tools
- Design inclusive learning experiences that support diverse perspectives and belonging
- Pilot and iterate learning experiences using learner feedback, stakeholder input, and performance data
- Define success measures and evaluate learning effectiveness, knowledge transfer, learner experience, and behavior change
- Manage multiple learning projects from scoping through delivery, including priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
- Explore and apply emerging learning design approaches, including AI-assisted authoring and adaptive learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional instructional design experience
- Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful work across multiple learning formats
- Knowledge of learning science principles, including cognitive load, retrieval practice, spaced learning, and adult learning theory
- Ability to identify learning and performance needs, define measurable objectives, and design learning journeys
- Experience creating scenarios, simulations, assessments, and interactive learning experiences
- Strong visual and UX design judgment, including typography, hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling
- Experience with rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Lectora, or similar platforms
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent
- Ability to create storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and supporting materials
- Ability to use learner feedback and data to evaluate effectiveness and iterate
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with subject-matter experts, leaders, and cross-functional partners
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities, and taking ownership
- Experience in inclusive learning design, leadership development, learning technology, short-form learning video or animation, LMS/LXP platforms, or SCORM/xAPI
- Degree in instructional design, learning sciences, education, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
