About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for session management across Spotify’s clients, device types, and strategic partner integrations
  • Use research, data, and user and developer feedback to identify access friction and prioritize improvements
  • Improve how sessions are established, maintained, and ended while balancing reliable access, account protection, privacy, and user control
  • Shape device connection, session transfer, and partner authorization experiences, including clear consent flows
  • Partner with engineering to make session and access capabilities reusable through APIs, client components, documentation, and integration guidance
  • Work across client, device, and partner teams to align priorities and carry improvements through delivery and adoption
  • Define success measures for access quality, user friction, developer experience, and adoption
  • Balance immediate experience improvements, long-term technical investment, security, and privacy while providing clear direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of product management experience
  • Demonstrated experience shipping products that improved outcomes for users or developers
  • Experience with consumer products, identity and access, connected devices, developer products, or partner integrations
  • Understanding of session management, authorization, APIs, client behavior, or consent flows
  • Strong product and user experience judgment
  • Ability to reason through technical trade-offs with engineers
  • Ability to translate complex product and technical decisions into clear language
  • Experience using research and data to test assumptions and measure impact
  • Experience leading work across teams with different priorities
  • Ability to build productive relationships with technical and business partners
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear strategies and make prioritization decisions
