About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clients with the highest level of accounting support
- Exhibit an extensive understanding of accounting practices
- Stay up to date with advancements in accounting principles and financial technology
- Assist clients from onboarding through recurring engagement phases
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Support payroll and HR activities
- Follow established processes for each client engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to exceed client expectations
- Manage client communications and identify opportunities to improve clients’ bottom lines
- Participate in company-specific and industry best-practices training
- Balance a flexible schedule with the manager
- Cross-train and load-balance with colleagues
- Attend ongoing team and manager meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- 1+ years of transactional accounting experience using software such as QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Bill.com, Expensify, or a QuickBooks Online Certification is highly preferred
- Process-oriented
- Desire to learn new technologies/methods
- Eager to follow established practices of SPRCHRGR and help improve them
- Experience in a remote environment is a plus
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
