About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver Action for Children’s challenge events, including the Great North Run, Royal Parks Half Marathon, bespoke treks, and other challenge events.
  • Manage and steward a large portfolio of challenge event participants.
  • Help participants maximise their fundraising potential.
  • Deliver an exceptional supporter journey from registration through event day and beyond.
  • Build meaningful relationships with supporters.
  • Provide tailored fundraising advice and encouragement.
  • Create memorable experiences that inspire long-term support.
  • Work closely with fundraising, supporter care, and marketing colleagues.
  • Contribute to development of the wider challenge events portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supporter experience, increase fundraising income, and grow participation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be based in the UK.
  • Experienced and passionate fundraiser.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational ability.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about supporter experience.
  • No visa sponsorship available.
  • DBS Basic vetting required.
