About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop detailed shop drawing sets, including general notes, door hardware schedules, floor plans, elevations, wall sections, and plan details for curtain walls, metal panels, IMP, and single-skin systems
- Revise and update drawings using field dimensions and site-specific data to ensure accuracy and constructability
- Read and interpret architectural and structural plans and specifications
- Work closely with the Design Manager, Project Managers, Project Executives, fabrication teams, and field staff to resolve design discrepancies and maintain design intent
- Maintain clear, professional communication via phone and email with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Perform effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented setting while managing high-volume drafting tasks
- Ensure timely completion of submittals, revisions, and deliverables in alignment with project schedules
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in architectural or structural drafting/design within the construction industry, with a focus on shop drawings
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles and construction documentation
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (2018–2026)
- 3D modeling experience is a plus
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Procore preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- High level of accuracy and precision in drafting work
- Friendly, professional, and collaborative mindset
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities
- Proactive and resourceful in addressing design challenges
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening
