About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and evolve hybrid cloud architectures and platform roadmaps
Provide architectural consulting and technical leadership for Azure-based platforms
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions
Automate provisioning and configuration of Azure IaaS and PaaS services
Manage source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
Support AKS implementation and development on Azure Local
Assess and support application and database migrations to Azure environments
Create migration, testing, and rollback strategies
Provide L3 support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for critical incidents
Define security, operational, monitoring, and disaster recovery concepts
Create technical, operational, and security documentation
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical handovers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Hybrid Cloud environments
Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Public Cloud, Azure Stack Hub, and Azure Local
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including App Service, WebJobs, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation using PowerShell and ARM Templates
Practical experience with Azure DevOps, including Repositories and Pipelines
Experience designing, implementing, and operating Azure IaaS and PaaS environments
Proven experience in cloud migration projects, including assessments, migration planning, testing, and rollback strategies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of cloud security, compliance, and operational requirements
Professional proficiency in German and English
Experience with AKS, particularly AKS on Azure Local
Knowledge of Volkswagen Financial Services infrastructure and architecture
Experience with .NET applications and multi-tier architectures
Experience designing hybrid cloud modernization and migration strategies
Comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools in day-to-day workflow
Microsoft Azure certifications are nice to have: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Hybrid Cloud-related certifications
