About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and manage the company’s assigned accounts receivable portfolio under the Regional Credit Manager and Director of Credit
- Make collection calls on due and overdue accounts and document interactions in digital systems
- Review and release orders from ticket holds
- Process and approve credit applications and extend or maintain credit lines within authority level
- Monitor lien and bond rights, notices, mechanics liens, and bond claim processes
- Communicate account statuses, credit applications, and credit policy to internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct customer account reviews and provide account-handling recommendations
- Track and reconcile deductions, oversee joint-check payments, and enforce credit policy
- Participate in credit team meetings and KPI reviews
- Guide and educate sales teams and customers
- Report to and seek guidance from the Regional Credit Manager and/or Director of Credit
- Travel domestically for regional meetings, customer visits, and company events
- Maintain account information, notes, deadlines, and credit records using computer systems
- Receive training and develop toward a Regional Credit Manager role
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit Management, preferably within a similar industry
- Proven experience protecting and collecting accounts receivable portfolios, including collection calls and lien/prelien support
- Experience evaluating and releasing orders from ticket hold and maintaining accurate notes in company computer systems
- Experience processing and approving credit applications and establishing credit lines within authority level
- Experience with deduction tracking and reconciliation, joint-check reviews, and enforcing credit policies
- Experience monitoring deadlines for Notices, mechanics liens, and bond claims
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with company-specific software beneficial
- Knowledge of mechanics liens, bond claims, financial laws, regulations, and related legal processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, negotiation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with immediate and cross-functional teams
- Ability to guide and educate sales teams and customers
- Familiarity with cash application interactions, credit team meetings, and KPI reviews preferred
- Excellent business acumen, professional demeanor, ethical judgment, integrity, and confidentiality
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- CBA or CBF certification from NACM preferred; no certifications required
