About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership, business domain ownership, and hands-on development support across Agile delivery teams
Lead day-to-day technical execution and oversee development activities
Architect and guide scalable, maintainable, and secure OutSystems solutions
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, platform governance, and application lifecycle management
Coordinate platform operations, on-call support, environment management, and production incident resolution
Lead root cause analysis and production incident resolution
Monitor delivery metrics, technical debt, platform health, and engineering quality indicators
Facilitate technical estimation, sprint planning, and capacity planning
Maintain technical documentation, operational processes, and team knowledge
Manage team commitments, risks, dependencies, and impediments
Represent assigned business domains as the primary technology representative
Build relationships with business stakeholders and identify process improvement, automation, innovation, and product enhancement opportunities
Manage product backlogs, prioritize initiatives, and translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and delivery plans
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Designers, and Quality Assurance professionals
Mentor developers through coaching, peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and structured feedback
Deliver complex features, integrations, reusable frameworks, code reviews, troubleshooting, and sprint work
Support pair programming, retrospectives, continuous feedback, change management, and release activities
Participate in deployment verification, implementation planning, and production readiness reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience leading technical teams or mentoring developers in a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment
Advanced expertise in development and architecture design for web or mobile apps
Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID, MVC, and design patterns applicable to low-code platforms
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive UI design
Experience with REST, SOAP, and API-first development
Intermediate or advanced SQL and data modeling skills using SQL Server, Snowflake, or Oracle
Practical understanding of DevOps practices, including feature toggles, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control
Hands-on experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Application Insights, Dynatrace, or similar tools
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using OutSystems Service Studio and browser developer tools
Ability to align technical efforts with business objectives and communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Experience making technical tradeoff decisions balancing speed, quality, risk, and maintainability
Ability to influence without direct authority
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and balance business priorities with technical constraints
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, MIS, or equivalent experience (preferred/stand-out qualification)
Prior experience managing development, staging, and production environments
Experience leading multiple concurrent delivery streams or Agile teams
Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS
Familiarity with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
Awareness of CoPilot, SonarLint, or SonarQube
Exposure to .NET and its integration with low-code platforms
Certifications in OutSystems and/or knowledge of OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC)
