About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as Product Owner in edge systems and data science teams
Integrate radar, surveillance cameras, radio communication, and other complex sensor solutions into maritime domain awareness solutions
Scope, refine, and deliver data science and machine learning solutions using maritime tracking, video, and other relevant datasets
Develop understanding of third-party sensor capabilities, interfaces, and system architectures to build customer-focused solutions
Evolve early product concepts into features that solve user problems
Serve as subject matter expert on sensor integrations and data science capabilities
Collaborate with stakeholders, technical SMEs, and customers to define and refine roadmap features
Work with UX/UI designers to ensure feature usability and visual impact
Build stakeholder relationships and alignment across development teams
Present features to the wider team in reviews
Train Customer Success and Support teams on new sensor and communications functionality
Understand end-to-end system use cases and how mobile apps fit into the overall solution

Requirements

What you’ll need

Product ownership experience across networked systems, sensing technology, and radio communication technology
Experience working with data science and machine learning teams, ideally in surveillance, video analytics, or intelligence settings
Good understanding of best practice in Agile software delivery and the product owner role
Comfortable working at pace, managing change, and removing uncertainty
Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers, data scientists, and developers
Clear and concise communication skills, including explaining complex topics to non-technical audiences and inferring requirements from non-technical stakeholders and users
Pragmatic approach to Product Management and Agile delivery
Ability to convey requirements in formal requirements documentation and user story format
Background in software development, solution architecture, or another technical discipline beneficial
Willingness to extend product skills into software delivery management
Maritime or asset tracking experience is a bonus
Experience with radio communications systems or IoT products is a bonus
Engineering Degree beneficial but not essential
