About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage multiple client engagements and supervise client service teams to meet client deliverables
Manage direct-report performance and provide appraisal feedback and career-development guidance
Deliver accurate and timely work products within specified timelines in coordination with the vice president and team members
Apply accounting expertise to alternative investment funds, with a focus on Private Markets
Review transaction documentation and supporting files, including investment transactions and accruals
Review work papers for capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, and completeness
Review management fee calculations and management fee waiver contributions
Review investor allocations and capital account statements
Review capital call and distribution calculations, sources and uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices
Update and review distribution waterfall and carried-interest models according to applicable fund terms
Provide guidance, training, and development to team members
Support corporate goals and business or departmental initiatives
Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
7+ years’ experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds
Experience preparing and reviewing general ledgers, work papers and financial statements
Ability to complete assigned tasks independently
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office 365
Familiarity working with AI tools and products
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong organizational and relationship building skills
Ability to build strong relationships while maintaining a client’s first focus
Significant mutual fund or investment accounting experience
Thorough understanding of US and international investment characteristics in both common and exotics
Coverage on US and/or Canadian holidays may be necessary
Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s)
Must be able to provide a valid work or study permit, if selected for an interview, where applicable
