About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Automate infrastructure configuration using AWS CloudFormation, Chef, Packer, and Terraform
Automate tasks and integrate ChatOps with Lambda functions using Python and Node.js
Maintain and improve container build systems with Docker and Jenkins
Participate in the weekly on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
Configure and maintain secrets management, service discovery, and container orchestration systems
Perform code reviews for internal services and infrastructure changes
Conduct experiments and research spikes for proposed changes
Collaborate with R&D and architecture teams on production defects and runtime inefficiencies
Work with development teams to improve system operability
Define, track, and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
Build and maintain observability pipelines and dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk
Lead incident response and on-call escalations via PagerDuty
Facilitate blameless post-mortems and drive systemic improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS in Computer Science or similar discipline
5+ years of experience working in a Linux environment
5+ years of cloud computing administration and engineering
Extensive experience troubleshooting and debugging infrastructure issues
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Preferred: development experience with Python, Ruby, Node, C#, SQL, or Go
Preferred: 3+ years of experience with containerized software deployment and orchestration tools
Preferred: 3+ years of experience with standardized orchestration and automation tools
Preferred: experience leveraging AI tools across engineering workflows, AIOps, observability platforms, and LLM/AI service integrations
