About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run the day-to-day operations of the platform services team.
Architect, design, and implement core infrastructure powering the Eclipse™ family of products and services.
Own the design and development of scalable, highly available, and performant platform components, services, and RESTful APIs.
Use AI-driven software development practices, including agentic coding tools and AI-augmented code review.
Champion AI-driven development adoption by contributing reusable skills, agents, and prompts to a shared internal registry.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and implement solutions.
Provide technical leadership, participate in code reviews, and promote best practices.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the Eclipse™ technical roadmap.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system limitations.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of software development experience, with a focus on building and scaling complex, distributed systems.
Experience building B2B enterprise cloud-based SAAS platforms and multi-tenant systems.
Experience with AuthZ/AuthN backend implementations and integrations.
Familiarity with OAuth and OIDC.
Experience with Kubernetes, helm, fleet gitops and service mesh.
Experience with a public cloud provider beyond use of IAAS; AWS preferred.
Hands-on experience and a passion for using AI to accelerate software development.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages; C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Go experience preferred.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven track record of designing and building highly available, distributed cloud native applications using standard patterns and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
Production debugging experience with log aggregation and other observability tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Experience in FinTech is a definite plus.
