About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end-to-end data platform architecture and define technical standards for data engineering teams
Design and implement batch and real-time/streaming data architectures
Define Lakehouse architecture, open table formats, and query engine solutions
Design real-time data serving and OLAP solutions
Establish standards for ETL pipelines, schema evolution, data quality, data lineage, and access control
Design scalable, cost-effective, and multi-tenant data platforms
Work with self-managed and on-premises infrastructure
Collaborate with data engineering and technical teams to ensure architecture standards are properly implemented

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Data Architecture & Data Warehousing
Experience with ETL
Experience with Apache Spark
Experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with Apache Airflow
Experience with Lakehouse Architecture
Experience with SQL
Strong understanding of batch and streaming processing
Experience with open table formats and query engines
Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, quality, and access control
Experience designing systems for scale, cost optimization, and multi-tenancy
Telco or Banking experience is mandatory
Experience with Data Mesh or Data Product operating models (nice to have)
Experience supporting multiple client deployments of the same data platform (nice to have)
