About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all Quality functions of assigned programs or areas with some guidance
  • Act as the point of contact for the program to inspectors
  • Ensure engineering and regulatory requirements are met using Six Sigma methodologies
  • Eliminate process variation and product defects through creative solutions
  • Work root cause and corrective action using RCCA tools including PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, and 8D
  • Process all nonconformance items and workflows in a timely manner
  • Provide process improvement and variation reduction expertise, including product and process capability
  • Interact with customers to identify quality improvement opportunities and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel
  • Support manufacturing groups in designing, implementing, and documenting procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection
  • Solicit weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables aligned with business objectives
  • Execute support actions for cross-functional teams based on direction from team members and leaders
  • Participate in training opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality leadership role
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate science, engineering, and/or engineering technology field is preferred
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, minimum of 15 years of Manufacturing or Production Quality Experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience desired
  • Quality experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100
  • General understanding of AS9100 and/or NADCAP requirements
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Broad knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
  • Excellent computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and statistical software tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds, experience, and education levels
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening required
