About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate, maintain, and support industrial additive manufacturing systems including FDM, SLA, SLS, and future additive technologies
  • Produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids for engineering development and production activities
  • Manage additive manufacturing workflows including job preparation, machine scheduling, post-processing, and quality verification
  • Maintain additive manufacturing materials inventory, including ordering, storage, handling, and process documentation
  • Support evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new additive manufacturing technologies and materials
  • Develop best practices and standardized procedures for additive manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on additive manufacturing solutions for prototypes, tooling, production-support hardware, and manufacturing demonstrations
  • Support composite manufacturing development, tooling development, prototype fabrication, and process improvement initiatives
  • Design, fabricate, assemble, and evaluate prototype hardware, tooling, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing aids
  • Support manufacturing trials, process development, and documentation of findings and lessons learned
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and process-related issues and identify improvement opportunities
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing and production-readiness principles
  • Support CNC machining operations, including 5-axis machining applications for prototype and tooling development
  • Work with EHS teams to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance
  • Support SDS management and material approval processes
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and external technology partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in engineering
  • Experience managing additive manufacturing materials, print preparation, machine operation, and post-processing activities
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and prototype development methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple technical activities and projects simultaneously
  • Effective communicator capable of working across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and implement new manufacturing technologies
  • Hands-on experience with industrial additive manufacturing technologies including FDM, SLA, and SLS systems
  • Experience with aerospace composite materials and composite manufacturing processes
  • Experience designing and manufacturing tooling, fixtures, jigs, and production aids
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing laboratory or R&D environments
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is a mandatory condition for employment
