About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist customers with Creative Experience computers, 3D printers, large format printers, laser cutter, virtual reality, recording rooms, and related equipment
  • Assist in facilitating or leading training sessions and programs for staff and customers on Creative Experience resources
  • Troubleshoot Library equipment
  • Communicate with managers regarding needed maintenance or Help Desk tickets for technology issues
  • Provide one-on-one customer assistance through Tech Connect appointments
  • Connect the community to Library resources and support the mission of a customer-centered public library

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least six months of experience and/or training, or an Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Strong communication, writing, and speaking skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Mac OS
  • Digital Library Programs (OverDrive, Hoopla, and Freegal)
  • GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Chromebooks
  • Social media
  • Cloud storage
  • Digital creative software and hardware, including Adobe Creative Suite, audio and video production, virtual reality, game development, 3D modeling, and 3D printers
  • Evening and weekend availability required
