Key responsibilities & impact

Build complete, tested frontend and backend features across React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, FastAPI, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
Architect and evolve backend features and APIs while anticipating future scaling challenges
Break down ambiguous product requests, refine technical specifications, and provide realistic estimates
Own platform stability, maintenance, and observability across AWS/GCP and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
Ensure production code meets security, performance, Lighthouse 90+, WCAG accessibility, and scalable data-modeling standards
Account for edge cases, error handling, animations/transitions, and integration behavior before release
Translate complex B2B insurance compliance requirements into scalable full-stack architecture and intuitive user experiences
Use AI tools to build, test, review, document, debug, and ship production-ready features quickly
Validate AI-generated output for maintainability, security, and compliance
Identify, document, and share AI engineering workflows
Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders
Participate in sprint planning, capacity planning, effort estimation, and release management
Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and mentor junior and peer engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level production experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
Experience with design systems including Storybook and Atomic Design
Experience with WCAG accessibility standards and animation libraries such as Framer Motion
Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, and RESTful/GraphQL API design
Practical expertise in PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy, including migrations, schema design, and query optimization
Experience with AWS or GCP, automated testing frameworks, and GitHub Actions CI/CD automation
Mastery of AI coding assistants and agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot
Experience shipping complete, production-ready application features quickly without sacrificing quality
Proven ability to convert broad requirements into production-ready software with minimal supervision
Ability to learn complex, regulation-heavy B2B domains; insurance experience is a plus
Ability to work in a lean, high-velocity environment and own features end-to-end
Strong understanding of maintainability, security, and standard engineering practices
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Ability to communicate technical risks, raise blockers with proposed solutions, and write clear technical documentation
