About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support R Street in-person and virtual events
- Assist with event-related data management
- Plan creatively for future event opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with R Street’s policy and Government Affairs teams
- Support logistics for in-person events in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area
- Assist with virtual events
- Collaborate with policy and shared services colleagues to promote events
- Execute logistics action items, coordinating with staff, contractors, and event participants
- Identify ways to improve event planning and execution
- Support the Event Team’s data management systems
- Prepare and review event-related communications, including newsletters and follow-up communications
- Help maximize the impact and reach of R Street’s policy research and writing
- Assist with marketing R Street policy programs to audiences, organizations, foundations, media outlets, and stakeholders
- Pitch ideas for cost-effective swag items
- Participate in collaborative team meetings and planning sessions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Early-career professionals, including undergraduate, graduate, or law students and recent graduates, are encouraged to apply
- Must be geographically located in the United States for the duration of the program
- Must be authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program
- Must attend the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming
- Ability to support in-person and virtual events
- Skills in event logistics, data management, communications, marketing, and planning
