About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, iterate, and enhance the Starbucks iOS application
Champion accessibility
Contribute to architecture improvements and code reviews
Optimize existing code for maintainability and testability
Develop unit and automated UI tests to improve app quality
Mature and evolve team testing practices and philosophy
Participate in team vision and strategy exercises
Assess new projects and features for feasibility
Write code for new features and important bug fixes
Test and release features to the public
Collaborate technically across the team
Help mature team practices and improve the native digital platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive software engineering experience with the iOS platform
4+ years of professional experience developing consumer-facing iOS mobile applications
5+ years of software development experience
Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, push notifications, and multi-threaded applications
Attention to detail around software engineering fundamentals, testing methodologies, and quality
Advanced proficiency with modern mobile architectural patterns such as VIPER, MVVM, or MVP
Experience with reactive programming
Strong experience in Swift
Some proficiency in Objective-C
Experience writing integration and unit tests
Strong Git experience
Familiarity with Apple accessibility features such as VoiceOver and Switch Control is a plus
Experience with Core Location services is a plus
Experience with Apple Pay services is a plus
Experience with Xcode profiling tools is a plus
Experience with TCA (Point-Free) is a plus
Experience with GitHub Copilot and integrating agents into development practice is a plus
Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG and Section 508
Knowledge of international laws is a plus
Must work onsite four days a week
