About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own a portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives across Supply Chain Management and Data Platform
- Lead a team of experienced project managers and deliver complex transformation initiatives
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully and build a strong delivery culture
- Establish ownership of the project portfolio across Supply Chain Management and Data Platform value streams
- Build relationships with project managers, business leaders, IT stakeholders, and programme leadership
- Create clarity around priorities, governance, delivery plans, risks, and dependencies
- Implement effective leadership and follow-up routines for project managers
- Act as a trusted sparring partner to the Programme Director and wider leadership team
- Deliver key programme commitments according to agreed timelines and objectives
- Build a motivated, high-performing project management team with clear accountability and ownership
- Strengthen collaboration across Business Transformation, IT, and the business organisation
- Support major programme implementations and business readiness activities
- Build project management capability beyond the Athene programme
- Develop project managers and strengthen STARK Group's transformation and delivery capabilities
- Collaborate with Business Transformation, PMO, IT Delivery, value stream leads, business owners, and senior stakeholders across the Nordic organisation
- Report to the Programme Director and Vice President and participate in the Athene Programme Leadership Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong programme and project management background
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes, ERP implementations, or business-critical change initiatives is advantageous
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects in an international matrix organisation is advantageous
- People leadership and development of project managers or similar delivery roles is advantageous
- Experience working across business and IT environments is advantageous
- Experience with programme governance, risk management, planning, and financial follow-up is advantageous
- Experience engaging stakeholders in a value-driven and decentralised organisation is advantageous
- Experience with agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches is advantageous
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar are advantageous
- Ability to travel approximately 30-50 days annually across the Nordics
- Ability to work from either Viby J (Aarhus) or Frederiksberg (Copenhagen), with travel to the other location approximately 1-2 times per month for 2-3 days
- Strong leadership and execution capabilities
- Ability to create clarity in complexity, make decisions, manage competing priorities, and maintain momentum
- Ability to build trust, communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and create accountability
- Ability to work effectively in a complex international and decentralised environment
