About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system
- Handle files with independent adjusters and provide direction on coverage and claim measurement
- Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds
- Work with other insurance companies participating on the risk
- Work with underwriters on policy coverage and assist with policy wordings
- Travel to loss sites and meetings with insureds and market members during claim adjustment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage
- Knowledge of policy interpolation
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling Property claims
- Ability to evaluate policy coverage
- Ability to work with independent adjusters, insureds, underwriters, and other insurance companies
- Approximately 10% travel required
