About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the full product and platform delivery lifecycle for P&C insurance applications
Oversee ideation, architecture, engineering, quality assurance, release, and ongoing support
Develop and enforce architectural decisions and software engineering best practices
Engage in design, hands-on development, technical problem-solving, and code reviews
Lead, motivate, and mentor engineering, architecture, and QA teams
Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver complex initiatives on time and on budget
Partner with product owners, solution architects, business leads, and engineering peers
Elaborate business needs, refine requirements, and align solution approaches with technology objectives
Direct project planning, estimation, resource allocation, sprint and release tracking, and status communications
Champion CI/CD, test automation, code quality, and agile methodologies
Identify delivery risks and impediments and develop mitigation strategies
Apply P&C insurance knowledge to underwriting, claims, billing, and insurance operations solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
Hands-on full-stack development and delivery leadership at enterprise scale
Experience as a Technical Lead or Delivery Lead managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience delivering complex, end-to-end systems or platforms
Expertise in .NET, Node.js, or equivalent enterprise-grade frameworks
Expertise in Angular, React, or Vue.js
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP architectures and deployments
Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices patterns
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Application, solution, and integration architecture experience
Significant P&C insurance experience, including policy, claims, billing, or underwriting workflows
DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, test-driven development, automated QA, and modern delivery pipelines
Strong communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills
Mentoring and team development abilities
Track record of delivering commitments in a fast-paced, complex environment
Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programs within insurance or financial services preferred
Familiarity with Insurtech platforms or P&C insurance platforms preferred
Experience implementing Agile at scale and orchestrating multi-team delivery models preferred
Industry certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Architect are a plus
