About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Three (3) years experience in education
  • Maine Teaching Certificate
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of educational administration
  • Knowledge of teaching methods and practices
  • Ability to supervise subordinate personnel and a large professional staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively
  • Ability to develop program goals and objectives
  • Ability to evaluate programs
  • Ability to use applicable computer programs
  • Required background checks; fingerprinting may be required
  • Currently not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions
  • Candidates must submit a cover letter, current resume, and three professional references
  • Resume must include month and year for relevant experience, associated duties and responsibilities, and identify non-full-time experience
  • Preferred: MDOE certification 282 (Teacher: Child With Disabilities K-8)
  • Preferred: MDOE certification 057 (teaching Principal PreK-8)
  • Preferred: management/supervisory experience
  • Preferred: experience or training in curriculum/instruction, interdisciplinary instruction, and/or project-based learning
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in education, leadership, curriculum/instruction
