About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Regional Assistant Director of Nursing with auditing and healthcare compliance
  • Conduct reports, data gathering, and facility site visits
  • Provide onsite support to facilities that have passed or are preparing for ACA accreditation
  • Assist facilities with healthcare compliance under PREA, Health and Safety standards, and other regulations
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and implement improvement plans
  • Deliver direct patient care within LPN scope under RN supervision
  • Screen, observe, and assess patients
  • Provide basic wound care and personal care
  • Administer routine respiratory therapy and other treatments
  • Perform catheter and colostomy care
  • Collect vital signs and specimens
  • Prepare and administer medications
  • Administer and interpret TB skin tests
  • Observe and record pertinent patient information
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist Registered Nurses and Physicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with facility standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • Provide education, work experience, and certificates/licenses information in the application
  • Degrees, if applicable, must be from appropriately accredited institutions
  • Applicants may be subject to a criminal background check
  • Ability to work 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday, or as approved by ADON
  • Ability to occasionally work other shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Compliance with PREA hiring and promotion prohibition requirements for NCDAC positions
