About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical and operational intelligence support to SBI agents, ISAAC, and federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement partners
- Make analytical inferences and deductions from a wide range of intelligence sources
- Create intelligence products supporting Human Trafficking Unit investigations
- Identify potential victims and suspects in human trafficking cases
- Link subjects to criminal organizations or events to determine activities and interrelationships
- Serve as a liaison between the Human Trafficking Unit, ISAAC, SBI, and internal and external partner agencies
- Present professionally on the Human Trafficking Unit and related topics
- Use multiple databases, open sources, and computer software applications for human trafficking and other criminal investigations
- Work from one of eight regional district offices closest to the employee’s residence and report there Monday–Friday
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of administrative and/or technical experience in criminal justice or law enforcement as it relates to the area of assignment; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to security requirements
- Must obtain Division of Criminal Information (DCI) Network certification within 6 months of hire
- Must work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Must perform on-call duties on a rotating basis
- Professional training and/or experience in open-source intelligence or human trafficking investigations preferred by management
- Advanced abilities in trend analysis, geospatial tools, structured analytical tools, partner facilitation and coordination, and compiling and summarizing information in writing
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, including pre-employment polygraph, credit and arrest checks, reference and employment verification, education verification, medical examination, drug screening, and fingerprint submission
- Must provide proof of employment eligibility on the first day of employment
- Must complete the full state application; resumes are not accepted in lieu of the application
