About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process and validate daily income for Fixed Income and Equity securities
  • Validate accruals and amortization according to client-specific policies
  • Reconcile and resolve cash and stock breaks
  • Review and validate that deliverables are completed within specified SLAs
  • Prepare MIS reports, perform data mining and analysis, and create SOPs
  • Execute process controls
  • Take ownership and accountability for process delivery
  • Provide integrated, value-added services to clients with a strong customer service and operational focus

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with Middle Office operations, Income and Corporate Action processes, and Fund Accounting in Investment Banking or Asset Management Companies is preferred
  • Understanding of Investment Manager and Custody business is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of capital markets and trade flow
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income products and Dividends processing
  • Good knowledge of upstream and downstream processes, including Middle Office and Custody processes
  • Good understanding of risk and control associated with Custody, Income and Corporate Action processing
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, AI tools, MIS reporting, data mining and analysis, and Word Documents/SOPs skills
  • Willingness to work in shifts
  • Good understanding and execution of process controls
  • Hands-on experience using Bloomberg Terminal for Corporate Actions research, coupon accrual verification for bonds, and security pricing
  • Fund Accounting domain skills, especially accruals, amortization calculation, and NAV calculation
  • Middle Office/Custody operations domain skills involving income and corporate action processing
  • Clear understanding of manual calculation of Interest Income and Dividend entitlements and tax implications on income payments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of research and resolution of trade breaks, corporate action breaks, and other product-related breaks
  • Ability to identify and report process risks in the reconciliation process
  • Exposure to Data Analysis/Data Scientist roles working on large data sets is preferred
  • AI and Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Sound understanding of Risk excellence measures
  • Understanding of Robotics and BPM
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and people management skills
  • Bachelor / Masters in Accounting/MBA Finance
