About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead assigned onboarding projects from requirement gathering through solution design, configuration, testing, production deployment, stabilization, and operational handover
- Manage, coach, and develop onboarding specialists; allocate work, set priorities, monitor progress, and provide timely guidance
- Establish project plans, roles, milestones, dependencies, controls, and success criteria for each implementation
- Lead discussions with clients, custodians, fund administrators, operations, and technology teams to confirm reconciliation requirements, scope, assumptions, and delivery approach
- Review and approve fund matrices, account structures, reconciliation types, data sources, frequencies, tolerances, matching criteria, workflows, and reporting requirements
- Oversee analysis and validation of cash, position, transaction, and market-value data received through SWIFT messages, flat files, and custodian portals
- Direct data analysis and mapping for non-SWIFT files and coordinate with ETL, technology, and deployment teams to establish scalable processing solutions
- Oversee account, reconciliation shell, lead-account, match-rule, workflow, and static-data setup in BUAT and production environments
- Plan and oversee functional testing, BUAT, DITL, conversion rehearsals, production parallel testing, and go-live readiness reviews
- Act as the escalation point for complex reconciliation exceptions, configuration issues, delivery risks, client concerns, and cross-functional dependencies
- Lead root-cause analysis and coordinate sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain project plans, open-item logs, Jira tickets, risk and dependency trackers, status reports, decisions, and implementation documentation
- Report to management and stakeholders on delivery status, milestones, risks, controls, capacity, and critical decisions
- Ensure procedures, reconciliation playbooks, configuration records, control evidence, and handover documentation are complete, current, and audit-ready
- Oversee post-production stabilization and track outstanding issues, risks, and actions through closure
- Maintain operational-risk and control environments, including maker-checker controls, information-security standards, governance requirements, and escalation protocols
- Monitor workload, quality, productivity, service levels, project capacity, and delivery performance; implement corrective action where required
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes, strengthen controls, improve client experience, and reduce manual effort through automation and workflow improvements
- Lead team training, cross-skilling, succession planning, knowledge management, and continuous capability development
- Support system enhancements, strategic initiatives, operating-model improvements, audit activities, and management reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Technology, or a related discipline
- Approximately 7 or more years of relevant experience in middle office, reconciliation, investment operations, client onboarding, system implementation, or a related function
- Prior experience leading a team, workstream, or complex implementation within a high-volume, global operating environment
- Practical expertise using TLM/TLP or another recognized reconciliation platform
- Experience managing relationships with custodians, investment managers, fund administrators, technology teams, and global operations stakeholders
- Experience managing implementation risks, testing governance, production readiness, stabilization, and operational handover
- Strong understanding of middle office reconciliation, investment operations, and the investment-management lifecycle
- Extensive hands-on experience with cash, position, transaction, and market-value reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of TLM/TLP reconciliation platforms, including static setup, reconciliation configuration, matching rules, tolerances, exception workflows, and administrative functions
- Experience in external custody data acquisition, SWIFT-message validation, file analysis, ETL data mapping, and production implementation
- Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end onboarding projects while managing multiple priorities, dependencies, and timelines
- Proven people-leadership capability, including work allocation, coaching, performance support, knowledge development, and quality oversight
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
- Effective stakeholder-management, influencing, negotiation, and escalation skills across global teams
- Strong risk and control mindset, with experience maintaining audit-ready evidence and addressing operational or implementation risks
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive-reporting skills
- Ability to translate complex technical and operational matters into clear decisions, actions, and status updates
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, accountability, and a consistent focus on delivery quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of project-tracking, workflow, data-visualization, and process-documentation tools
- Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or related workflow and reporting tools
- Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
- Demonstrated involvement in automation, system enhancements, process transformation, or operating-model improvement initiatives
- Experience preparing management information, capacity views, performance metrics, and executive-level project updates
