About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design and coordination of State Street’s cyber tabletop exercise program
  • Develop threat-intelligence-driven scenarios with incident response, threat intelligence, and business stakeholders
  • Support exercise facilitation and delivery
  • Produce after-action reports and track lessons learned to closure
  • Participate in internal, enterprise-wide, and industry-led exercises
  • Capture observations and feed improvements into playbooks, training, and technical solutions
  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational security metrics across multiple source systems
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards
  • Translate data into findings and recommendations for technical and senior non-technical audiences
  • Support automation of metric collection and reporting
  • Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, playbooks, and knowledge-base documentation
  • Contribute to the team’s service catalog
  • Support cross-functional task forces and tactical initiatives
  • Provide support for cyber threats and risks identified by Global Cybersecurity Fusion teams
  • Review categorization and prioritization of security reports and best-practice recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant cybersecurity experience
  • 2+ years in a cybersecurity skilled role; Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Offensive Security considered
  • Understanding of current security threats and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop reports and articulate findings and recommendations verbally and in writing
  • Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk
  • Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike, CarbonBlack, or Tanium
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7
  • Experience with cloud security tools/platforms such as AWS or Azure and common enterprise SaaS applications
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of risk management processes
  • Knowledge of IT architecture and operations, including computing, network, storage, and cloud
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Financial Services experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical security certifications such as CISSP or Security+ a plus
