Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the global FPS Operations organization of approximately 250 professionals across regions
Ensure consistent delivery, strong governance and a risk-excellent operating culture
Drive transformation and modernization with technology, business and risk teams
Develop scalable, automated future-state processes
Strengthen controls, improve resiliency, reduce operational risk and protect the firm
Deliver post-trade operational support, including confirmations, settlement, clearing and data management
Oversee vendors and third-party relationships, including cyber-risk management
Optimize the operating model and cost base for scalability, efficiency, growth and global consistency
Attract, develop and retain talent while building succession planning and leadership depth
Lead regulatory, governance and corporate initiatives, including Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance and Model Risk
Represent Markets on corporate-level steering committees
Collaborate with State Street Investment Services Global Delivery, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Legal and Human Resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

20+ years of experience in capital markets, ideally across operations, risk, finance or related functions
Proven track record leading large, global teams and building high-performing organizations
Deep expertise across financing and portfolio solutions operations, including securities lending, prime services, secured financing/repo, collateral management, liquidity solutions, and associated post-trade operating models
Demonstrated success delivering large-scale transformation and change initiatives in complex organizations
Strong commercial judgment, strategic problem-solving skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes
Attention to detail with ability to critically assess problems and propose solutions
Inspiring and inclusive leadership capability
Strategic thinking and ability to lead large-scale transformation and organizational evolution
Exceptional problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
Commitment to risk excellence, operational discipline and sound decision-making
Travel up to 10% may be required
