Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage consistently and effectively with Information Technology and Business leadership to embed security into strategic and tactical plans
  • Champion Information Security mandates as liaison between Global Cyber Security and Business Units
  • Address cyber security and risk posture within Business Units
  • Act as Trusted Security Adviser to Business Unit Leadership
  • Cross-pollinate information risk management practices across Business Units
  • Develop and deliver Security KPIs that drive control effectiveness
  • Support security assessments within assigned Business Units
  • Participate in Information Security and Third Party Risk Management assessments
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff
  • Create business security ambassadorship programs
  • Stay current on security trends, technology, and threats
  • Promote and deliver the ISO program and mission
  • Collaborate with Global Cyber Security and business partner teams on security policies
  • Create visibility through metrics and reporting
  • Participate in decision-making and assess broader impacts
  • Create and deliver presentations communicating project and deliverable progress
  • Build positive client relationships and exceed client expectations
  • Position security within the business using non-technical terminology
  • Manage risk tolerance, risk exposure, and security investments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, preferably in a cyber risk management capacity
  • Project Management experience leading small and medium sized teams to successful completion
  • Modern technical understanding and experience developing and implementing innovated techniques and solutions to delivering cost efficient security solutions
  • Hands-on or working knowledge in multiple security domains: server hardening, firewall, network, VPN, encryption, code review, security framework & standards, and various protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, SSL/TLS, SSH, HTTPS, FTP, RDP, ICA, BGP, LDAP/AD
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh relative costs and benefits and identify appropriate actions
  • Ability to effectively influence others to modify opinions, plans, or behaviors
  • Ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments
  • Highly regulated environment experience, preferably financial services
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field
  • Preference not Mandatory: CISSP, CRISC, and/or CISM
