About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute, under senior engineer guidance, to analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of complex software enhancements and solutions
Modify core frameworks and primary facilities critical to CRD/Alpha Platform operation
Collaborate with Business Analysts to create simple and sustainable solutions for complex problems
Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Participate in on-the-job and formal training
Develop software using cloud-based technologies including Microsoft Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, React, Angular, NodeJS, Java, Spring, and related tools
Build practical experience with event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, SQL Server, and testing frameworks
Develop business acumen in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical course of study
0–2 years of professional experience or equivalent college project experience
Interest and passion about building high quality software in FinTech
Initial experience with Java, PowerShell, and batch scripts ideally
Knowledge of C# ideally
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Analytical and solution-oriented thinking
Effective written and verbal communication
Ability to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
