About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform functional and automation testing of agile stories as part of an agile scrum team
Independently test software enhancements and solutions within business and technical problem domains
Test software programs, applications, and projects using cloud computing, Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Kafka, and ReactJS/TypeScript or equivalent frameworks
Write backend and frontend automation scripts for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing
Participate in test code reviews
Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and developing solutions
Analyze business requirements and develop solutions for business needs
Collaborate with multiple teams in various locations in an agile environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of commercial software development experience
Proficiency developing multi-tier solutions
Experience with testing tools such as TestNG and Tosca
Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka for backend testing using Cucumber/TestNG
Knowledge of commercial software development testing
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions
Ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector
Math background highly desirable
Experience with Agile development methodology desired
Experience using AI for automation
Some Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka coding experience
BDD/TestNG framework experience
Tosca Automation experience
Jira experience
SQL knowledge
Backend testing experience
Azure/AWS cloud knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly responsible
Ability to work onsite four days per week and remotely one day per week
Availability during standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm)
