About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and grow key client and strategic relationships with Registered Investment Advisors, including wealth managers, regional RIAs, and local offices of aggregator platforms
- Identify client needs and deliver relevant market insights, product information, investment ideas, and sales support
- Act as an expert on SSIM solutions, including ETFs, cash strategies, defined contribution solutions, and model portfolios
- Educate clients and prospects on product positioning, holdings, investment results, and SSIM differentiation
- Drive Net New Assets and Net New Revenue by cultivating relationships and deepening engagement with partners
- Lead and coordinate regional travel with sub-advisory partners and index providers
- Leverage relationships across the RIA ecosystem, including custodians, TAMPs, and model platforms
- Build and maintain relationships with internal partners across Product, Internal Sales, Marketing, Research, Capital Markets, Events, and Business Intelligence
- Partner with Internal Sales to deliver comparative analytics, capital markets insights, and actionable investment ideas
- Promote SSIM’s strategy, priorities, and investment capabilities in client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Mentor and support internal team members
- Demonstrate risk excellence and uphold ethical standards
- Refine sales skills and pursue ongoing professional development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
- CFA, CIMA, or other relevant designations preferred
- 7 years of experience in investment management preferred, with at least 5 years in sales or business development, ideally within the RIA channel
- Strong investment acumen and technical proficiency across ETFs, mutual funds, alternatives, separate accounts, model portfolios, and related products
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal partners
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and commitment to excellence
- Ability to adapt quickly, think creatively, and operate with sound judgment
- Willingness to travel extensively and manage a dynamic, territory-based schedule
